In the first half of 2020, Goodrich’s sales revenue increased by 17% year-on-year, from 70 million yuan in 2019 to more than 80 million yuan; direct tax payment amounted to more than 5 million yuan and indirect tax payment amounted to more than 10 million yuan, achieving double-digit growth year-on-year ; Market share in the Asia-Pacific region rose from 6% last year to 11% in the first half of 2020, and the number of employees increased by 11%. At the same time, the company completed purchases of more than 50 million yuan, which greatly promoted the rapid resumption of work and production of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain.

In the face of this year’s coronavirus pandemic, as a wholly foreign-owned company, Goodrich (China) bucked the trend and made full use of the advantages of the bonded maintenance pilot policy while preventing and controlling the pandemic. Sales revenue and tax payment were achieved double-digit growth year-on-year in the first half of 2020.

Goodrich (China) is registered in the Tianjin Binhai New Area Comprehensive Bonded Zone, which belongs to the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone Airport Area (Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone), and belongs to Collins Aerospace. The company's main business is aircraft engine nacelle maintenance and leasing, remanufacturing and technical support. Since its establishment in 2009, it has quickly become one of China's largest aircraft engine nacelle maintenance providers.


"At the beginning of 2020, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, our business was affected to a certain extent. With the support of the Administrative Committee of the Free Trade Zone, we achieved full resumption of work and production in early March." Liu Jie, general manager of Goodrich (China), introduced that during the pandemic, the administrative committee of the FTZ provided a lot of assistance to enterprises. When the enterprises were short of pandemic prevention materials, the administrative committee actively coordinated the supply of goods to ensure that the enterprises resume work and production. When the company resumes work and production and there is a shortage of manpower, the administrative committee actively coordinates the corresponding colleges and universities and other companies in the FTZ to add talents to the company and solve urgent needs.

At the same time, the company has also introduced large-scale equipment, and the production capacity is expected to increase by more than 30% after the equipment is commissioned. Next, Goodrich (China) will continue to follow the normalized epidemic prevention and control work deployment, actively and effectively implement prevention and control measures, strengthen operation and management, and strive to promote the company's high-quality development, so as to achieve the "double win" of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development for the FTZ.
