On August 21, Spectre Air Capital, LLC., a leading international aviation leasing and services company, took delivery of its third B737-700 BDSF passenger-to-cargo aircraft at the Tianjin Haite Aircraft Engineering Co. Unlike before, the aircraft will be operated for the first time on a lease basis by a local Chinese operator, Tianjin Cargo Airlines. This marks the first domestic operator of this type of aircraft for Tianjin Cargo Airlines.

It is reported that the aircraft is a converted freighter based on the B737NG jointly launched by IAI/BEDEK and Tianjin Haite. It is equipped with advanced avionics system to reduce fuel consumption and maintenance costs. At present, Tianjin Haite has obtained the FAA and CAAC B737-700 STC passenger-to-cargo conversion capability qualification, and FAA B737-800 STC passenger-to-cargo conversion capability qualification, and CAAC B737-800 STC passenger-to-cargo conversion capability qualification is under application. It is worth mentioning that the fourth passenger to cargo and the first B737-800 passenger to cargo aircraft of Tianjin Haite will enter the field in the near future. According to the plan, in the second half of this year, the Tianjin Haite passenger-to-cargo conversion project will enter into the phase of overlapping two conversion lines, and the target of constructing two conversion lines in parallel will be reached next year.

The reporter learned that the maximum range of this model is 2,900 nautical miles, which is better than other Boeing 737 all-cargo models. Departing from Tianjin, it can cover domestic and East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia and other neighboring countries, most of the airports. With a maximum cruise altitude of 41,000 feet, the aircraft is capable of operating routes to highland airports. The addition of new members to the Tianjin cargo airfleet has played a role in promoting the layout of Tianjin Cargo to develop new routes.

In recent years, the Free Trade Zone has introduced 10 measures to support the development of aviation maintenance and remanufacturing business in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone and four models to support the development of free trade maintenance and remanufacturing industry, to help aviation maintenance industry development.
