According to the statistics from Tianjin Customs, Tianjin Port imported 500 million integrated circuits in the first four months of this year, an increase of 8.1% year-on-year; the value was 6.23 billion yuan, an increase of 18.2%.

According to the Tianjin Customs officer, in the first four months of this year Tianjin port imported 140 million integrated circuit from the ASEAN, an increase of 17.7% year-on-year, accounting for 27.4% of the total imports of integrated circuits in Tianjin port over the same period. In addition, the number of integrated circuits imported from Taiwan has increased to 130 million, an increase of 94.5% year-on-year. In terms of trade methods, nearly 80% of them are imported through processing trade. In the first four months of this year, 390 million integrated circuits were imported through processing trade, an increase of 17.5% year-on-year, accounting for 78.4% of the total imports of integrated circuits at Tianjin Port during the same period.

Compared with general trade, processing trade has the characteristics of "two ends are outside", which is affected by the outbreak of Covid-19. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Tianjin customs has paid close attention to the production and operation status of integrated circuit processing trade enterprises in its jurisdiction and perform precise measures to help enterprises overcome the difficulties. They checked out the upcoming due book 1 month in advance, and contacted companies to confirm whether they can postpone the declaration, which has created a “high-speed port” for IC customs clearance during epidemic prevention and control.
